The Arrogance of Clouds

How arrogant of you,
Blotches of white in a sea of blue
Thinking you can interfere with me,
and what I intend to do

You are but vapor,
and I am the sun
Bringing life to your planet,
for billions of years to come

Without me you would not exist,
and yet your persistence persists
Casting shadows,
Bringing rain,
Using my light,
Only to stain

That’s alright,
Have your fun
Your presence is fleeting,
and I am the sun

Cast your shadows,
bring your rain,
But the wind I create
will soon blow you away

You will be forgotten
I am always here
You are but a stain
On my atmosphere.
